TAN KAY NGUAN

Tan Kay Nguan an eminent Singapore artist, holds an MFA from Birmingham City University, UK, a BFA from the University of Melbourne, Australia, and studied Chinese ink painting at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. He has held 65 solo exhibitions and over a hundred group shows across Singapore, Europe, the UK, France, China, and Southeast Asia. His work has garnered numerous awards, including the UOB National Art Prize (Singapore), the Dr. Tan Tsze Chor Art Award (Singapore), the Singapore Airlines–CAAS First Prize, the Mayor of Osaka Prize, the Osaka Prefectural Board of Education Prize, the Gold Prize at the Beijing International Art Expo, the Outstanding Contribution Award for International Cultural Exchange, the Most Influential Artist Award at the Beijing International Art Fair, the Governor of Osaka Prize, Ngee Ann Artist of the Year Award 2018, the Golden Art Award (2019), and the Minister for Foreign Affairs Award of Japan (2020). In 2023, he was invited to participate in the 13th “Ink Affinity” Singapore Presidential Charity Art Exhibition.
