Yew Soo Cheng

Yew Soo Cheng, Malaysian artist, is a member of the Asia Artists Association and Vice Chairman of the Northern Malaysia Branch of the Malaysian Contemporary Chinese Painting & Calligraphy Association (Western Painting Jury). She is also active in numerous Malaysian and Penang art societies. Her works are in the permanent collections of the Penang State Art Gallery, Balai Seni Langkawi, and Balai Seni Negara, and are also collected in England, Australia, Singapore, and Taiwan. In 2020, she held her solo exhibition A New Beginning. She was awarded Top 13 at the 2021 China National Wildlife Image Contest and received a Merit Award at the Asia Pacific Grand Exhibition in Singapore (2022). Appointed by the Penang State Government in 2019 for the ASEAN-China Tourism Exchange Week in Guiyang, she later led Malaysia’s international online art exhibitions (2021–2023), and was featured in the collectors’ exhibition at Shangri-La Rasa Sayang, Penang (2024/25).
