ANNA KARINA JARDIN
She is a Manila born visual artist, educator, children’s book illustrator based in Malaysia. She developed a strong inclination for visual arts at the age of 4. Being exposed to what Philippines has to offer culturally and artistically, she grew fond of various styles from local artists and melangethese influences with other international artists making her develop a distinct neo cubism identity. Jardin has earned a degree in International Relations from the Lyceum of the Philippines University and furthered her studies in Development Policy at the De La Salle University and intertwined it with her passion for the arts to find her niche as evident in her involvements in community development and art diplomacy on a global scale. She draws inspiration from her experiences and interactions as a global citizen as it gives her an analytical yet colorful approach to her body of works that pivot around cross cultures and heritage preservation ,human behavior, women and migration. Through her artistic expressions and programs that she has designed through ArtdialogoAsia, a collective that she has founded ; she is able to share about the value of her Filipino heritage, and the value of intercultural dialogues and advocate for causes that she firmly supports such as sustainable partnerships, children and youth participation and social inclusion across the world. Anna as the Association’s Head of AAAM Affiliate (Philippines).
