Cheng Peng Sia

Cheng Peng Sia graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture (Hons) from the University of Technology Malaysia in 1988 and became a registered professional architect with PAM in 1990. Alongside his architectural career, he has pursued ink painting with dedication. He has held several solo exhibitions, including Resplendence at the New Straits Times Gallery, Kuala Lumpur (2012), Landscape Realm at Island Gallery, Penang (2014), Malaysia Tanahairku at Bursa Malaysia Resource Centre (2023), and Brushstroke of Life at LaiLai Arts Gallery, Kuala Lumpur (2023). His works have also been exhibited internationally in Indonesia, the Philippines, Korea, China, Taiwan, Japan, Germany, and Italy. Cheng has received numerous accolades, including the Judge’s Award at the Pulau Ketam Art Competition (2016), Merit Award at My Dream of Malaysia organized by Younie Gallery (2018), Honorable Mention at the 1st Kuala Lumpur International Watercolour Biennale (2018), Honorable Mention at the Malaysia International Watercolour Invitational (2019), and First Prize at the Beautiful China – Myths and Legends Painting Competition (2020).
