Dorji Wangchuk

Dorji Wangchuk，advisor and lecturer at the VAST Art Center in Bhutan, Head of the Dorji Wangchuk Art Studio, Art Advisor to Shuomei Cultural Enterprise in Taiwan, and Director of the Wang Chudan Art Studio. Born in Bhutan under the Himalayas, where no formal art schools exist, he embraces a philosophy shaped by Buddhism in which art and life are inseparable. In 1998, he co-founded VAST, a non-profit art center promoting art education, social service, and exchanges with international artists. Now dividing his time between Bhutan and Taiwan, from mountains to islands, he draws inspiration through artist residencies and local cultural connections. His vision is to present Bhutanese culture through art while sharing the power of wisdom and the boundless possibilities of creativity.
