Lei Tak seng (original name Li Desheng) graduated from the Macau Polytechnic University with a degree in Visual Arts Education and holds a Master of Arts from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. He currently serves as a Council Member of the China Artists Association, President of the Yiyuan Painting and Calligraphy Association of Macau, Vice President of the Macau Artists Association, Stamp Designer for the Macau Post, and Part-time Lecturer at the Macau Polytechnic University. From 1999 to 2019, he worked at the Macau Museum of Art.
Li has received the Best Creation Award five times and the Special Award twice at the Macau Joint Exhibition of Calligraphy and Painting, and has been selected seven times among the Top Ten Outstanding Works at the Macau Annual Exhibition of Visual Arts. He also received the Second Prize in Chinese Painting at the Macau Art Biennial Award. His works were selected for the 10th to 12th National Art Exhibitions of China (winning an Excellence Award in the 10th edition), the 7th Beijing International Art Biennale, and the 12th and 13th China Art Festivals’ National Exhibition of Outstanding Artworks.
