Siva Nair, is a largely self-taught artist with a background in advertising. With no formal art education except for early guidance from UK-trained teachers, he draws inspiration from masters such as John Constable and Vermeer, as well as contemporary artists like Michael James Smith and Vladimir Volegov.
His small-town upbringing fostered a deep appreciation of nature, culture, and community, which he weaves into his paintings. By blending the diverse traditions of Malaysia’s towns with their scenic landscapes, his works reflect a unique artistic vision. His paintings are collected in the United States, Europe, Australia, India, and Malaysia.
