Tan Suz Chiang, a graduate of Malaysia’s Central Academy of Art, is a dual Signature Member of the American Watercolor Society (AWS) and the National Watercolor Society (NWS). His works harmonize Eastern aesthetics with contemporary expression, capturing poetic fluidity and visual tension. Tan has earned over 30 international honors, including the Gold Prize at the 2023 Korea Watercolor Biennale, Jury Award from the American Watercolor Artists Association (2021), Diamond and “World’s Best Watercolor” Helen Ross Awards (2015, USA), and the Winsor & Newton Prize from the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolors (UK).

He has held twelve solo exhibitions worldwide, with works shown in major fairs in New York, Istanbul, Singapore, and China, and featured in the Splash annual series. In 2015, Tan became the first Malaysian artist to appear on the cover of Professional Artist (USA), and his paintings have been profiled in L’Art de l’Aquarelle (France) and Russia’s 24 International Masters.
