Yoon Sook Fong, born in 1971 in George Town, Penang, graduated in Graphic Design from the Malaysian Institute of Art and studied Oil Painting at the Penang Academy of Art. She has worked as a creative art director and is a co-founder of a design agency.
Her artistic practice fuses Eastern aesthetics with contemporary sensibilities, employing acrylic, watercolor, and ink to depict figures, flora and fauna, and dreamlike imagery. Through expressive brushwork and fluid colors, she conveys the rhythm of life, the poetry of nature, and the tranquility of the soul. In recent years, she has focused on modern ink painting and the Nanyang style, seeking harmony and renewal between tradition and contemporary expression.
