Zhao Xiaojian (Haoran), born in 1987 in Qingdao, Shandong, is a member of the China Artists Association. A former officer in the Political Department of the Shandong Armed Police Corps, he studied under Zhao Jiancheng and specializes in Chinese figure painting. Zhao has participated in several major national art projects and exhibitions, including the 14th National Art Exhibition, the 95th Anniversary of the PLA Art Exhibition, and the 5th National Chinese Painting Exhibition. His works are collected by the National Museum of China, the Military Museum, and the China National Academy of Painting. Notable pieces include Alliance at Duolun, A New World, Kangxi’s Western Campaign, The Founding Ceremony, Boundary Marker, Homeland, and Hello, Teacher. He has been repeatedly awarded by the National Art Fund’s Young Artists Program.
